As Google begins to push the importance of Google+ pages, they’ve made Google+ circles and +1 visible in search engine rankings. As 2012 moves forward, I think that Google will also move forward and put a huge effort on organic results to the Google+ system. This will not only encourage/force usage of their social network, but give them a much greater ability to tie social, ranking and visibility signals together.
So How Do You Use Google+ for SEO?
1. For a start, you need a Google+ account. This is now automatically created when you create a Gmail account but you need to complete it; implement a photo, description, link your other websites, finish the entire profile.
2. Then you need to create a business page. Invite all your friends and business contacts to “+1″ the page. The +1 acts like a like on Facebook, and Google search engines are now taking them into account.
3. Put a “+1″ button on your website or blog.
Once you’re up and running, you should start to exchange “+1′s” with friends, which basically will share their content and get them to share yours. Link building can also be accomplished by sharing content on the Social Media sites.
Social media is here to stay. There are people who think the social Media Bubble is going to burst. That may be correct. However, there will always be a new platform waiting to capture our attentions. At the end of the day, it looks like social media will always be part of how we conduct our business online.
